Helen is the Liberal Democrat Councillor for the Bramhall North ward of Stockport MBC. She was elected in 2007 for a four-year term. Helen is committed to serving the needs of the residents of her ward, and is always available to speak or meet with them. Helen is the Executive Councillor for Communities, and is the 'Sports Champion' for the Council with a commitment to getting the people of Stockport more active through sports

Helen is a member of the Bramhall & Cheadle Hulme South Area Committee, which meets monthly at Bramhall Village Club, Melbourne Road, Bramhall. Meetings start at 6.30pm and are open to the public.
